Explore Volcanic Reefs & Historic Wrecks

Mauritius sits atop ancient volcanic formations that create dramatic underwater landscapes. Our dive sites feature towering coral walls, sandy channels teeming with moray eels, and historic shipwrecks now transformed into thriving artificial reefs.

Whether you're completing your first Open Water certification or seeking advanced drift dives along deep drop-offs, our PADI-certified instructors tailor every excursion to your skill level. Visibility regularly exceeds 25 meters, revealing intricate coral formations and resident sea turtles.

Package Included:

  • PADI-certified dive master with local site expertise
  • Complete dive equipment: BCD, regulator, wetsuit, tank & weights
  • Pre-dive safety briefing and underwater hand signal review
  • Post-dive logbook entry assistance and certification tracking
  • Refreshments and shaded rest area between dives
  • Underwater photo opportunities with GoPro rental available

Dive Sessions:

Morning Dive: Coral Garden Exploration (9:00 AM)
Begin at shallow reef sites (8-15m depth) perfect for acclimatization and wildlife observation. Navigate through coral archways while spotting parrotfish, lionfish and occasionally reef sharks. Ideal for beginners and certification students practicing buoyancy control.
Midday Surface Interval & Equipment Check
Mandatory surface interval allows nitrogen off-gassing while reviewing morning dive highlights. Instructor adjusts gear fit, discusses second dive objectives and answers questions about marine species identification. Light snacks and hydration provided.
Afternoon Dive: Deep Wall or Wreck Penetration (1:30 PM)
Advanced divers descend along vertical walls (18-30m) where currents bring nutrient-rich water attracting pelagic species. Wreck dives explore sunken vessels at 20-25m depth with multiple entry points. Always conducted with redundant air sources and guided penetration protocols.
Post-Dive Debrief & Certification Progress Review
Return to boat for warm towels and refreshments. Instructor reviews dive profiles, logs maximum depths and bottom times, and provides personalized feedback. Certification students receive progress reports toward next qualification level.

"Completed my Advanced Open Water certification here and couldn't have asked for better instruction. The wreck dive was incredible - saw three sea turtles and a nurse shark resting on the deck. Equipment was modern and well-maintained. Highly recommend for all certification levels!"
